Our team
Our team is formed mainly by undergraduate students from the University of São Paulo, East Campus (EACH-USP). We also work with master students, PhD candidates, teachers from elementary and high schools, professors and students from other institutions (such as UNICAMP and UNIFESP)!
It is a plural and multidisciplinary team!
We encourage everyone to take on projects and suggest new proposals, regardless academic degrees or hierarchies. Our coordinators are two undergraduate students that have been part of our team for some years, facing crucial challenges for their professional and personal development and improving their skills. Group work and collaboration are the essence of our project!
Most of our members have scholarships and few are volunteers.

FOUNDERS
TÂNIA REGINA VIZACHRI (Lattes)
PhD in Education (USP). Master in Cultural Studies (USP). Bachelor in Social Sciences (PUC-SP). She created the D.I.A.N. project, together with Prof. Luís Piassi, in 2015. Tânia has been a vegetarian since 2001 and a vegan since 2003, Tânia has also already coordinated GEDA, one of the first Brazilian animal rights study groups, created by Maurício Kanno. She research in the areas of education, childhood, critical animal studies and representation of animals in the media.
LUÍS PAULO DE CARVALHO PIASSI (Lattes)
Professor at EACH-USP. Bachelor in Physics (USP, 1990), Master in Science Teaching (USP, 1995). PhD in Education (USP). Research advisor at the postgraduate program in Cultural Studies (EACH-USP) and at the program of postgraduate studies in Education (FE-USP). He is the leader of the research group INTERFACES of the Science Stand project.
MARIAH PEIXOTO (Lattes)
Mariah is currently pursuing a Public Policy & Management Bachelor Degree at EACH-USP. She has been a member of our project since 2017, the same year she became a vegan. In 2018, she started her Scientific Initiation project, funded by FAPESP, within our group. Completed a three months research internship at the University of Ottawa (2019) and a four months one at the University of Gothenburg (2020), studying topics such as Ecojustice, Critical Animal Studies, Critical Animal Pedagogy and Visual Representation of non-human animals. She also works as a photographer (@mariahpeixoto) and is interested in the area of Semiotics and Visual Education.

ANA LUÍSA DO NASCIMENTO MAGALHÃES (Lattes)
Undergraduate student in Textiles and Fashion (EACH-USP). Vegetarian since she was born and vegan since 2017, the year she started working as a volunteer at our project. Interested in the areas of sustainability, animal rights and trendy social identity.
ANA PAULA GOMES MEIRA (Lattes)
She has been participating in our project since 2016, when she started her undergraduate studies in Natural Sciences. She is one of our project coordinators since 2018, developing research in the areas of Education, Animal Rights and Social Political Theater. Ana believes in the revolutionary potential of veganism.

CAMILA GONÇALVES AUGÉ CORREA (Lattes)
Undergraduate student in Pedagogy at the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP). In 2016, she participated in the "Democracy at School: reflections and practices" project, using democratic participation as a method for collective work. In 2018, Camila started her scientific initiation funded by CNPQ, aiming to implement public policies related to literacy. She currently participates as a volunteer in our project. She is vegan and loves philosophy.
